Basketball Shooting Technique
Dear Gary,
Thank you for sharing your free throw expertise with our staff. Your
innovative approach shed light on various aspects of free throw shooting
that we had never analyzed before. As you know "How you teach is just as
important as what you teach" and we really liked how you teach free throw
shooting. Your video teaching method and Error Checklist will be
particularly beneficial for my staff in helping to improve our players'
free throw shooting technique.
I look forward to implementing your system and benefiting from the results
of great free throw percentages. In addition, I believe that the
improvements in free throw shooting technique will also benefit our
players' shooting percentages from the floor.
We would certainly recommend you to any team looking to improve their free
throw percentages.
Best of luck!
Sincerely,
D. Michael Dement

Dear Gary,
I want to thank you for demonstrating and visiting with us on your concept
of how to shoot free throws. My assistants, Garry Mendehall, Ken Smith,
and Kevin Fricke, were very impressed. We are going to use this technique
with our basketball team. I am sure it will help our free throw
percentage.
I have never met anyone who has done the research and has the command of
teaching the free throw that you do. This is something that most people
leave out of their teaching and it is so important because it is a major
part of the game. It determines if you win or lose games during the year.
I was impressed with the percentages you presented that showed the
importance of a free throw in winning and losing basketball games.
Your techniques are new and inventive and will change the way people think
of free throws. Thank you for letting us know about your breakthrough in
shooting free throws.
Sincerely,
Moe Iba

To Whom It May Concern,
Gary Boren came to Yale University during the fall of this year. He spoke
with the coaches here at Yale about shooting, specifically, free throw
shooting. His presentation was tremendous. It is clear that Gary is an
expert on this subject and our coaches are all better off from this
meeting.
Gary really does an excellent job explaining how to teach the art of
shooting to your players. He knows how to help coaches get through to
their kids. He has worked with many NBA players and it is clear that those
who have worked with him are better shooters because of it. Gary has
studied free throw shooting in greater detail than anyone I have had the
opportunity to meet.
As coaches, we are all looking for that tiny edge on our competition. I
believe that meeting with Gary and then implementing his technique with
our players may help our team get an edge on the competition. Our staff
intends to implement his system with our players this year and I fully
expect our free throw shooting to improve because of it.
Gary, thanks for all of your help.
Sincerely,
James Jones
